The Lexus Lowdown
A bookmarkable news & updates hub built for Lexus of Tulsa, designed to replace scattered email blasts with one page customers could check on their own time.
As a Lexus Digital Concierge at Shift Digital, I support the digital marketing and web presence for thirty-four Lexus dealerships nationwide, including Lexus of Tulsa, where I built this page.
The Problem
Lexus of Tulsa relied on email to share product news, promotions, and dealership updates: easy to miss, easy to bury in an inbox. The dealership needed a simple, ownable page customers could check on their own schedule instead.
The Idea
I designed and wrote "The Lexus Lowdown," a single hub page organized as a reverse-chronological feed. Each entry is tagged by type (Announcement, Special, Product, Highlight) and dated, so the page reads like a lightweight blog customers can skim in seconds. The header copy sets the expectation immediately: "What's new, in one place. No inbox required."
The Writing
The page called for a few different tones in the same space. I wanted each entry to sound like it belonged on the page, while still fitting its purpose:
"Starting today, this page will be a hub for all things Lexus of Tulsa. You'll find the latest Lexus news, releases, and some exclusive specials here, organized by date, no more digging through your inbox to find what changed."
"The 2026 Lexus ES Hybrid blends luxury, advanced technology, and exceptional efficiency into one refined sedan available at Lexus of Tulsa. Powered by an advanced hybrid system delivering up to 244 horsepower, the ES Hybrid offers responsive acceleration while maintaining impressive fuel economy for daily commutes and long-distance travel."
"This month, we're proud to recognize John Baker, our Parts Manager, as he celebrates 20 years with Lexus of Tulsa! With an incredible 35 years in the automotive industry, John has been a trusted leader, mentor, and an invaluable part of our team."
The Design
I also designed the hero banner. The dark, editorial-style treatment paired with the dealership's inventory photography sets the tone for the whole page and gives the "Lowdown" its own identity, distinct from the rest of the dealership site.
